1993 Black Puer Brick

Extra large leaves were used for this tea, even larger than tenth grade mao cha. Most of the mao cha for this blend came from Meng Hai, for smoothness, and Yun Xian which is known for its aftertaste. The taste is very smooth with a rich, reddish color. The fragrance is like the smell of dates, especially when the tea is boiled, which is the traditional way for brewing puer. Even though this puer was cooked, the tea master left life in the leaves by not allowing it to over ferment so its fermentation will continue naturally. While this tea is ready for drinking now is has not peaked and will continue to improve with age.
