2001 Winter Yellow Green Puer Cake
2001 Winter Yellow Green Puer Cake
The 2001 winter was pretty warm allowing for a late harvest. Usually tea stops growing before December, but in 2001 the tea continued to grow. Instead of taking a break from production they harvested this winter tea. This was an unusual season and doesn't happen often. This is a very good tea for collecting. The tea color is golden, and looks like olive oil. The taste is not as strong as other green puer teas. It's very smooth and not bitter. This is a big leaf tea from trees over a hundred years of age. This is a very promising tea for the future, rare with great character.

Tastes as weird as it looks, but very good! Herbal notes and olive oil. Very smooth and easy to drink. Packs a qi punch! Unlike any other pu'er I've had.

This has an unusual taste for a pu-erh. Quite thick and almost herbal, but not in an unplesant way, but it still needs more time for ageing as it seems quite fresh.
