This cake is made from the mao cha of the Ancient Tea Plantation in De Hong in the traditional way: picked from hundred-year old tea trees according to the standard of one bud and three leaves, and blended with grade 3 fresh mao cha from the same area. Since the mao cha was from ancient tea trees that was easier turned from light green to dark green naturally, this green puer cake looks darker than other green cakes. Its taste also changes easily, therefore, the ancient green puer is more suitable to store. If you steep it now, you will find the golden tea water with full bodied taste, intensive aroma and obvious aftertaste. After three years, if you steep it, you will find the liquor is olive oil colored with a soft and smooth taste. Its features enable it to be an excellent candidate for collecting as samples showing how the green puer cake becomes a black one.
