This fine black iron handle clay pot is fired at a very high kiln temperature of 1200°C (2192°F). Although made of lightweight clay, its high firing temperature allows it to withstand high heat. It can even be used as a kettle for boiling water on the stove, as well as for holding tea.
This pot’s squared iron handle enables easy control while pouring. The height of the handle also keeps the hand well away from the heat of the pot. The inset strainer behind the spout holds tea leaves inside when using as a teapot. Because the clay is sealed with a shimmery deep red-brown glaze on the inside, this versatile pot can be used to make any kind of tea.
