Given the slightly taller walls of this teapot, large-leaf black teas and Wuyi rock wulongs, like Laoshu Dianhong (Old Tree Yunnan), Zui Qun Fang (Drunken Peach), and Qi Dan (Rare Crimson), are able to fully open and release their flavor and aroma while steeping. The shape of the teapot also helps concentrate the aroma of a tea, and you can smell how a tea’s fragrance changes over many steeps. There is a built-in strainer behind the spout.
