This unglazed red yixing teapot is made of qing shui ni “clearwater” yixing clay. This type of clay is frequently used in Yixing Province to make yixing wares. It is ideal for making black tea, like Zui Qun Fang (Drunken Peach) and Jin Kongque (Golden Peacock), and sheng or shu puer. The slightly thicker walls help control the temperature and keep your tea warm during long tea sessions.
