This traditional knotwork braided cord connects a teapot’s lid to its handle, helping to prevent your lid from falling off. It also provides a convenient rest for your finger as you pour your tea. The waterproof string used to tie it will not bleed color and will hold up under years of use.

Add this item to your cart if you would like us to braid a cord for your Yixing or porcelain teapot. If you’ve ordered more than one teapot, be sure to specify which one you would like the braid on in the order notes.

Please note: Each braid is created as it is tied directly to the teapot. Therefore we must have a teapot in our possession in order to add a braid to it and cannot ship braids as a separate item.
