An elegant small teacup made of fine ice jade porcelain in a translucent cool white color with a simple blue peony flower on one side.
The classical blue peony flower design on the side of this teacup was highly popular during the Tang Dynasty (618–907). This era was a prosperous time of cultural flourishing, and particularly a time when Chinese tea culture truly bloomed. The peony is now a frequent symbol of abundance and prosperity.
