A fine ceramic tea strainer from Jun Kiln with dark green glaze, shaped like a Chinese wok with a matching stand that it perches on like a traditional stove. The thick glaze is a rich translucent green like aventurine stone, with decorative fine crackles throughout it for extra texture.
The stand-alone tea filter is a common component in Chinese tea service. Just place it over a pitcher or cup and pour your tea through it from a gaiwan or Yixing teapot. The double-layer strainer has fine stainless steel mesh on top to filter out the smallest particles of tea dust and leaves, and a simple perforated ceramic strainer below for extra strength and durability.
