After a long wait our 2010 wulongs have arrived. We have only tasted one so far (cupped if you are English), a Monkey Picked Anxi wulong. (For the people at PETA, that called me a few years ago to inquire about the well being of the monkeys, no monkeys were actually used in the harvesting of this tea.) We will be working over the weekend to get them packed and ready to by next week. This was a year where the weather conspired from winter to late spring to slow down production. If the rest of the wulongs are as good as the first one we tasted, and the green, white, and yellow teas that came in earlier this year, 2010 will memorable year for tea.
