A gorgeous, medium-sized yixing teapot textured and crafted into its organic shape to resemble the knots of an ancient tree, with a lingzhi, or Reishi, mushroom for the lid. This handmade teapot is made with a rare green variety of Duan Ni clay, which turns yellow-green after firing.

The teapot’s handle gracefully curves to meet the side of the teapot, resembling a branch of a tree. The curves and movement of its form feel delicate to the touch, and the attention to detail in created the texture of the teapot is remarkable. The color of the teapot has shades of rich green with warm yellows and tans. There is a built-in strainer behind the spout.
It is named after the inventor of this style of pot, Gong Chun. Lingzhi refers to the texture and form of the teapot lid, which resembles a lingzhi, or Reishi, mushroom. The body of the teapot is formed into the shape of the knots of an ancient tree, known as Shu Ying. This style is a replica of the legendary first yixing teapot ever made.
This teapot is lightweight and unglazed with thinner walls, which makes it perfect for preparing lightly oxidized Anxi wulongs like Jin Guanyin (Golden Tieguanyin) and Ma Liu Mi (Monkey Picked), as well as white, green, and yellow teas.
