This simple matcha scoop is made from a single piece of flattened bamboo upturned at one end to hold powdered matcha green tea. The other end doubles as a tea pick and can be used to clean the spouts of teapots. Since it is made from purple bamboo, the upper side of the scoop is dappled with a dark purple pattern over the more common golden bamboo coloring.
