This ebony and rosewood tea tray makes for distinguished and elegant tea service. Smooth, dark ebony hardwood makes up the base of the tray, while a raised solid rosewood dais in the center holds your teaware above the water. A poem written in fine white calligraphy fills the upper right corner of the rosewood, while a robed monk looks on from the lower left.
Lined with a water-catching channel around the edges, the tray comes equipped with a removable tube for draining water into another reservoir. This is ideal for daily tea brewing, or for service with yixing clay tea pots, where water often runs down the outside of the pot. The drain also comes with a cover for the water outlet if you want to use the tray for display without the drain function.
